I know i made a rookie mistake and didnt check my solders... but after soldering in my wiikey and plugged everything back in.. wii was wokring perfect.. booted the config disk and everything but then a solder came loose and the wii just shut off.. so i took the wiikey right out and still nothing..
I dont know if this has anything to do with it but when i was booting I did not have the big round battery put in but after realizing that that could be the problem it still has no leds

I dont think its the battery, that is only used to keep the internal clock running when the power is disconnected. However if you shorted something out you may have blown a fuse on the drive. Theres a guide here on how to bridge fuses http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/554806


Make SURE that theres no remaining solder causing any shorts though. Fuses usually blow for a reason so if you bridge one and the short that caused it is still there you will cause more damage.

try this.
unplug the Wii from the wall. unplug the adapter from the Wii. Wait for about 10 mins. Plug the adapter back into the Wii then the Wall. Should turn on. Ive short-out my Wii numerous times. This method always brought it back.

I actually took it in to a place that mods them to check to see what the problem is.. but there giving me a call with whats wrong before they do anything. Im really bad wiht circuit boards and shiz but if it is as easy as doing that bypass i will give it a try.

but im thinking im jsut gunna get the professionals to do it and let me know what they did incase this happens in the future

just got a call from the repair people and turns out theres nothing wrong wiht it. everything works fine.. turns out its my power supply.. so the problem was just elsewhere.
now gotta figure out either how to fix that or buy a new one lol..
