My 360 drive recently has started going caput and scratching my disc pretty badly they play but become unreadable at times, and i want to flash my drive so i can start backing up my games,


Just a series of questions to help me understand better
1.do you absolutely need to hook up a sata cable from your computer to the drive in order to flash it?
2.if so what programs would i use
3. if not what programs do i use
4. I've seen that you could possibly get banned from live, is that if you played the backed up game on live or just in general

any information would be benefital

2. can be found in the tutorial on how to flash any hitachi drive. but you will need to download and burn slax to a cd.
3. not applicable.
