Plug your xbox360 to your computer

I was wondering if any of you had an idea of what would be required to plug an xbox360 to a PC. What I want to do here is use my LCD monitor and my PC speakers to play instead of a standard TV. I also want to use the full quality of my screen resolution & speakers.

I would make sure to get the official cable too, because some of the knock offs are crap, i bought the Intec brand at first and could only get like 600x400 res. I know have the official M$ cable and they look great, you will probably want to change your settings to "Enhanced" in the system blade, the picture was a little washed out until I changed that setting. Now it looks awesome.

one thing about that cable.. aint the yellow plug for video and red/white for sound?

also, is there a way to plug the whole thing and not have to unplug the monitor for the xbox cable everytime you want to use the console? Like a program or something that would let you switch to your xbox or pc desktop just like you can do with your tv remote

what?

why would you unplug the cable if you want to use the console?

I believe he may mean that his monitor may only have one input.

There's no software, you'll have to buy a switch.


And you'll need to buy an adapter to run the 360 audio cables in to your mic port on your sound card. You can pick something like this up at just about any store. http://www.radioshack.com/product/index....rentPage=search
