But every time I made the changes pressed exit and saved changes
When I go back the old codes are back
What am I doing wrong

When i click 4 on keylist.txt on line 1 of 2 i enter N 5401 00 5B7436A3B220CB46
I exit out of that and asks me if i want to save changes to /var/keys/keylist.txt'? i reply yes
I exit out of keylist.txt screen and it says 'save current settings?' I hit yes.
I hit Menu/5/Reboot Now
but nothing
I'm using Version v2.0 on NTL.
any help appreciated

enter the correct keys. search the forum and you'll find them
It may help when you have changed the keys and rebooted to press the blue button and activate/restart the softcam evocamd

this works for chorus aswell . just copy the chorus keys into the keylist.txt. Look at the previous posts

hi, i hit the Yellow button on my remote but it just brings up a clock in the topleft hand corner of the screen, can't get to Tuxbox or anywhere near the solution quoted below.
any suggestions/directions would be greatly appreciated!

i have ftp'd to my box and fixed it . i am just wondering on the D 500c when you press yellow it gives the clock . how do you get tux commander to edit files without ftping ?

I dind't see you mention is until your prevous post, as about the post above this one lol, some people just don't read.
I have the gemeni project image installed, I like the way they favs are stored. is there much difference between the two images?

Hi
I just got a dreambox yesterday and have been unable to set it up.
Which transponder do i select for ntl
I have unable to select the lock option
I tried the fix listed but I still can not get it to work.
I can't even get the free channels
any help ?

hi Folks, a similar problem with my dreambox Dm500-T. I have followed the instructions kindly laid out here. I can find the keylist.txt page but the keys are fairly different to what I have read here with my having to change lots of numbers and letters. I have Chorus, I don't know if that makes a big difference or not!! anyway I changed to N 5401 00 5B7436A3B220CB46 and rebooted with no difference at all! Could anyone give me the correct keys to enter assuming that's what I am doing wrong?? Thanks for your help!!

N 5401 00 5B7436A3B230CB46
N 5401 01 540D8109F96E17F9
NOTHING ELSE
Delete any other crap in the keylist.txt. Two lines is all thats needed!
You m8 are digit wrong in the 00 line ?
Save that & reboot from the menu.

Chorus keys are different replace your chorus key that you see in you keylist.txt with
00 A01265BD7233FBBC
01 C0FE0DFB2CA4B0FB

Hi,
Reset the dreambox keylist today ( sunday 5)
my keylist.txt looks like
N 5401 00 5B7436A3B230CB46 ;ROM7 AU Key Time Thu Apr 3 20:12:07 2008
N 5401 01 540D8109F96E17F9 ;ROM7 AU Key Time Tue Mar 25 18:54:09 2008
which seems to be right from yesterdays post
I rebooted, restard evocamd, but all i get is the EPG , no data avail and no channels. ANy ideas ( have the keys changed again ?

hey ive never had a problem with my dreambox 500 until a few days ago,
ive figured out how to change the keys
N 5E01 00 A01265BD7233FBBC ; Chorus Ireland
N 5E01 01 C0FE0DFB2CA4B0FB ; Chorus Ireland
but it still says "service could not be found", can someone upload their channel list so i can use dreamboxedit and ftp it.
will i need to update the keys all the time now or is there a way to fix it to autoupdate?

Hi again,
I have tried to edit the keylist with these:
N 5401 00 5B7436A3B230CB46
N 5401 01 540D8109F96E17F9
nothing happened and then I tried with these:
00 A01265BD7233FBBC
01 C0FE0DFB2CA4B0FB .
Each time I saved settings and indeed these are the only 2 lines in the keylist.txt page. What the heck am I doing wrong?? I have also tried to activate the evocamd but still no channels??
I have chorus here. I am at my wits end now and thank you all especially satlinks for your patience in helping me out!

Only for NTL
Start from scratch.
factory reset your dreambox.
search for channels.
activate evocamd - after 30 second
goto tuxbox commander and change the crap in the keylist.txt to:
N 5401 00 5B7436A3B230CB46
N 5401 01 540D8109F96E17F9
reboot and watch
