also tried all the codes on the 500c uk with dw 2 image but still nothing,starting to think it's a lost cause unless i'm doing something wrong, if anyone can change my mind thinking of gettig shut.

N*L are going to make it harder and harder for you by changing the keys so often. You might aswell wait until a proper fix for the 500C/T is available. That could take a week or more.

Thanks placsebo, much appreciated. But why is the DB not auto updating with the correct keys? They always used to - I thought that was the beauty of the Dreambox?

all the codes not workin, they also just blasted the boxes again at 21.15hrs tonight best all hang on till next week till it dies down a bit because if you keep flashing your boxes they will freeze only starview2 THE BOX is working ok starview1 is also off as use same keys as dreambox, i have a starview2 and working great, i also got a euro-vox which i will test tomorrow and let you all no, i have just received a new image and patch but not tested it yet from a very good source so will test this too tomorrow and if it works will give the link to people on this site to download it and update there boxes tell you all about midday tomorrow cheers

Hi have an Egnigma image on my dreambox. i have read that all you need to do is change the keys but i don't know how to. can anyone help??

Does anybody know how to get the TuxBox onto a Dream 500C running Gemini? It looks like I need the TuxBox installed before I can enter the new keys.. Simple instructions would be great.

Stig,
I had to Install tuxbox myself on my Enigma image.
Not sure how to add attachments to this reply, so goto here

and download tuxcom1_16.zip
unzip this and copy the files tuxcom.so and tuxcom.cfg to var/tuxbox/plugins over ftp
There may be better ways of doing this, but this worked for me on enigma, yours is probably very similar.

But I dont know how to FTP into the box, What cables etc do I plug into the dream box / pc?

The dreambox 500C community is waiting for a new emulator. Just turn off your dodgy box for a day or too( buy a null modem cable while your waiting). Come back here then, and the FIX will become public-ish.

hi all the image for the dreambox never worked sorry
listern everyone click on this link below its a toolbar and you can get your update/filmware/keys etc its by BigMAQ and i have installed it there is no virus or dodggy doings when it is installed just select dont make default search and do not send info to them un check these boxes then you need to restart your web browser then you will see it, it has latest keys tab, forums/links tab, cable fixers tab and update/fixers tab. this is very very useful and take my word for it ITS A MUST TO HAVE

please don't forget to leave feedback on this tool bar so others can see if its useful i dont think you will get better and will try and get something sorted on the dreambox over the weekend i have 6 images but non auto rolling only manual keys input so far

robbie08 no one can fix it yet m8 there is no new image/filmware that auto rolls the keys and at the mo v*rg*n are changing the keys once or twice aday just hang tight they will ease down in a week or two and as soon as i hear anything or find a image that works i will post it everyone in same boat m8
