THIS IS A WINRAR FILE YOU NEED TO OPEN IT AND SAVE IT TO YOUR DESK TOP
NOW USE DREAM UP TO FLASH THE BOX AND SELECT DW Dream 1.6.2 and ypdate the box
once the box has updated do not disconnect it from your pc till about 1min after it says download successful
then run the scan use Bruteforce for uk to scan does not matter what network you are on will scan all
once scanned goto s*y sports1
you will see blank screen
press blue button
choose (2) TuxBox Commander press ok
on left side choose / this symbol press ok
go down to Var about 8 down press ok
screen turns blue
go down to Keys press ok
go down to Keylist.txt AND PRESS 4 (DO NOT PRESS OK )
NOW YOU WILL SEE ALL THE KEYS YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE LATEST ROM7 KEY GO BY THE DATE AND TIME (TODAYS DATE/TIME)
IT WILL LOOK LIKE THIS N 5C01 01 THEN NUMBERS AND LETTERS
YOU NOW NEED TO LOOK BACK ON YOUR TOOLBAR UNDER LATEST KEYS AND CHOOSE YOUR PROVIDER THE KEY YOU WILL BE CHANGING BEGINS WITH 01
PRESS OK TO HIGHLIGHT THE KEY UP AND CHANGE IT TO THE NEW KEY (ONLY ONE NUMBER NEEDS CHANGING ON CW)
PRESS OK TO STORE
NOW PRESS EXIT
USE LEFT ARROW TO STORE PRESS OK (DO NOT USE RED KEY TO STORE)
PRESS EXIT YOU WILL NOW BE ON THE HALF BLUE/BLACK PAGE WERE Keylist.txt is
PRESS EXIT USE ARROW TO MOVE LEFT TO STORE PRESS OK

Have tried this in Ireland for N*L - can't get it to work -- maybe I'm doing something wrong , not sure but followed the instructions you descxribed.
Has anyone got the 500C back working for N*L Ireland
Hope to hear from Satlinksw soon
Is they way of knowing / finding /figuring out what the new keys are ?

Just got the DM600. It's preloaded with software and I have managed to set it up on my network. I set the modulation and freq as per this site but I'm still not finding any transponders??
It is probably something simple but I am new to this. Please help.

Guide for Flashing Via DreamUP
Most of this information can be found on the Dream Multimedia website but I thought I?d put it into a quick guide for the forum. This is useful if you?ve manager to arse up your Dreambox (like I did within the last half hour).
Some quick notes first:
? The DreamUp utility is available from the official Dream Multimedia site at http://www.dream-multimedia-tv.de/english/downloads.php
? You will need a working image ending with the .img extension. These can also be downloaded from the site (just click the firmware link beneath whichever model of box you have).
? A null modem cable can be picked up from most computing stores, maplin electronics or on ebay
Here goes:
1) Disconnect ALL the cables from your Dreambox
2) Plug one end of the null modem cable into your PC (into a COM port)
3) Plug the other end into the back of the Dreambox (The port circled in Fig 1)

4) Load DreamUp on your PC.
5) If it appears in German, switch the language by pressing Language -> English
6) Select which serial port you are using from the drop-down menu. (in my case COM1)
7) Make sure ?use network? is unchecked
8) Press connect and you should now have this screen:

9) Now plug the Dreambox into the mains and make sure it is switched on. If everything is working right you should get a blue progress bar appearing within a second or two. After the bar finishes, you should have the message ?Box attached and ready? beside status. You are now ready to flash. (one thing to note here is that the first version of DreamUp I tried did nothing at this point, I had to update to the newer version for this to work)
10) Press the flash button and select the image you want to flash to the box.
11) Select yes (?Ja?) when asked if you want to perform a flash-erase during the process
12) The flashing process will now begin

13) Once the flashing process is complete (in my case this was about 9 minutes later), a message box appears saying ?Box was flashed successfully?)
14) Hit OK
15) Unplug the box from the mains and leave for about 30 seconds
16) Plug the box back in and you should now be back in business

this was taken from another forum which is very reliable V*rg*n will be making major changes to the network starting on Monday 31st March.2008
The changes taking place will take approximately 2 weeks to complete and ALL connected equipment will be affected. All Virgin receivers will be updated during this time and ALL other receivers will no longer work on the network until an update becomes available. This is due to changes in carrier frequencies and the way the box communicates with the head end.This has started in Ireland already they are changing to nagra 3 decoding (like s*y use)this means only a few will be of use on the system, these guys are up to something back in october 07 they blew all the modems on the 10meg network and now only certain modems work right, v*rg*n are getting smarter and also have the funds now thanks too dick branson, and his boat loads of cash, we will not be defeated stand up for your rights, whatever rights we have ha ha the right for free tv.
so now we no why this is happening and what they upto but ps by the way s*y digital is cracked and i have got it ha ha ha thats free too

i downloaded the firmware etc from that site but they wotn open in winrar oh whyis this box so much more complicated lol! the euro vox was SIMPLE

no i dont lie, i have a 2.5 meter ground mount dish motorized, maxx 1000 receiver and a dreambox 500s (sat) its called a card share facility you get astra, hotbird, thor, turk sat, etc etc about 11 sats easy with my dish, the max 1000 links direct to the internet through my router, you flash the image on the box and scan, all the channels that the internet will unscramble will be shown with a little i by them which means you can watch, bit like what pubs have on the football etc, loads of films. porn, sport etc etc all being able to change audio into english, now the dreambox 500s is the receiver for the card share you get all what the max 1000 can get but over 700 english audio programs, you get like box office from the usa that shows films only just gone off the cinema here also you get the s*y full package and i mean box office too but there is a charge for this and you only get access through a certain web site, this is called card sharing (wink) the fee i pay is £129 a year for over 700 english channels in audio, you dont need a big dish i just have one, a set up would be 1 meter dish, twin lnb £100, dreambox 500s £99 and £129 for the card share but hey you got s*y too remember they want £60 per month for same type package.

any hel put there guys. I tried it again today backed up the image but it then woudl not let me flash the box without an image dotn know where to fidn it on my pc. Downlaoded firmware from that site but its not in english and wont open it saying its a dw.img saying unknown format or damamged so i had no choice but to either erase without BMON -?? or exit so i exited as i was not sure what to do. Now the box does nothing jsut has the green lgiht on it wotn turn off and when put to tv nothing comes up when u plug the scart in jsut the blue screen on my tv.
so have i killed it or can it be fixed if so does anyone know where i could send or take it in the bexleyheath/kent area.

I used Joker's detailed method and somehow got most of the channels working although funnily S*y sp*rts 1 is not working but the rest of the S*y channels are working. Don't forget to press the blue button and start the evomd and mgcamd in the dw dream menu after you've followed Joker's method. It worked for me.

Hey jokerjay.
Followed your step-by-step guide & no problem. However, the 1st line is ROM10, which has the updated key (F2-73-A9-0F-26-09-69-0A)as at 15:31:58 today. The 2nd line is ROM7, which has the updated key (F1-48-4E-64-5A-E1-A2-70)as at 15:31:22 today. These are keys that are on toolbar & have not been updated as yours. I've tried changing the ROMs & key but no joy.
What do you suggest?
Any one else faced a similar problem?
