No channels, It does not work for NTL Ireland. I tried it twice. Thanks for all your help it probably works for the UK but not Ireland.

OK guys heres an image with autoroll installed. I also added lemmings game and yatzy.
This image can be uploaded with null modem cable.
Use Dreamup to upload with Null modem.
I downloaded the autoroll through the addons on my box. So this should be a permenant fix.

hey just looking for some help i have a cross over cable im trying to flash the box using dream up but when i enter my ip adres it says invalid i think my remote ip is192.168.1.44 can any help its driving me crazy thanks ive no channels at all

Been told it works in ireland mate.
If you load this image do a fresh scan of channels using bruteforce then reboot.
All goes well the cam should kick in and you'll have the channels.

hi pamela,
i believe to flash using dreamup you need a null modem cable not a crossover ethernet cable,
however you can f.t.p. using a crossover cable. i use filezilla to ftp. it is free to download from the web. just google it.
when you run this programme it asks for the boxes ip address and the user and password.
user is root and password is dreambox ( for the dm500c)
the box ip address can be found from the menu on the box using the remote control.

The image should now be visible in the box.
Now click flash image backup. This will install the image to your box.
Takes approx a minute.
Once completed reset the box. PLug into ur tv. And try.
It should now show that the flash is installed.
Do the scan using bruteforce.
Once the scan has finished check your channels. TRY SS1 FIRST. If you dont have the channel. Reboot box. This time the evocam should startup and will roll the channels.
This is the simplest way to install this image. If this doesnt work or you have problems connecting to your dreambox you will have to go down the null modem route. Please leave me a message if you have problems with this.

Lads It Works
I followed the tutorial word for word. Made my own crossover cat5 cable, downloaded the soft and firmware as advised and installed as per tutorial.Scanned using the N*L ie option in the service provider box and it works. Watched S*y Sports 1 and Movies in Ireland.
One problem there is a lot of duplicate channels with the same name some work some dont, but they are all there (dont know yet if this is my fault). I dont know will it autoroll but I assume it will because it decoded all channels this morning.
This box belongs to a mate so I wont have it for much longer but I still have to do my own so I will keep you posted.

markman ive downloaded filezilla its asking for host is that the boxs ip mine is 192.168.0.24 ive put in the usres as root and the password as dreambox still no luck i feel like kicking this thing all over the place only bought it for the kids i should have stayed with sky now all ihave is the basic crap channels when i turn my box on all it says is service providers and bouquies a red line and then a blue line and the screen is black any help please

thats the boxes ip address pamela.
which box are you using?
if its the dreambox you can find the boxes ip address easily enough.
i was trying to type from memory how to find the boxes ip address but i cant remember.
look above at one of chris's posts i seem to remember he posted a tutorial and somewhere in ther it tells you how to find your boxes ip address.

one other thing pamela,
if you are using a normal ethernet cable ( the type you use for connecting to the internet )
then this will not work it must be a crossover cable.
the other option if you have a hub is to connect pc to hub then hub to dreambox.

Hi guys
Im a bit new to this so was wondering if anybody could help me out. i have downloaded the tool bar and also DW Dream 1.6.2 enigma dm500-c.zip. I have also downloaded dream up. But i am a bit stuck as to what to do now. I understand that you have got to use dream up to flash your box but not sure what to do with Dw Dream 1.6.2 and also what does ypdate the box mean. When i open dream up there is two spaces for IP addresses and these have numbers in them do i need to change these at all and if so what to. I know i am probably being a bit dumb but would much appreciate somebodys help.

The cable i am using is a null modem cable i think i have got to connect into the back of my PC and it looks like an old printer cable with pins on either end.

so if its a null modem cable connect one end to your pc and the other to the dreambox.
start dream up
uncheck the use network box
click the drop down and select the port your cable is connected to.
click connect.
unplug your dreambox wait a few seconds then plug it back in.
if your using a null modem cable the pc will detect the dreambox and the bar will start filling from left to right until its connected.
you will get a message saying something like " the dreambox is talking to the pc"
then you simply select flash and browse for the image you want to flash onto your box.
you will be asked if you want to perfoem a flash erase click ja
this takes a while so have a cup uf tea.
when this is all done i.e. uploading image flash erasing old image and the box flashing from memory
unplug the box again for a few seconds then plug it in again
that should be it
go to a channel you know is free to view i.e. rte 2 to make sure all is working then try sly sp@rts news and leave it a minute or two.
if that doesnt come up you may have to change the keys. theres posts here on how to do that just read back a few dozen pages.

Flashed using null cable and usb adapter, using dream up, used cgscott auto roll, scanned for channels, got them but no audio or visual.
Does anyone have any idea what i'm doing wrong

Could be the cam isnt loading up do you get the free to air channels?
Try flashing this image below using null modem mate
this image mate this is a smaller one.
Still has autoroll..

Hi guys,
I've been busy for 1 week trying to install the fix on my Dreambox. First I just FTP'ed the Nagarom 7 file. No luck. Then I tried the DW Dream 1.6.5 imagine, and then FTP'ed the Nagarom 7 file. No luck. Then I installed the DW 2.0. image (from which I understand the fix was already installed in it). No luck. So I added the Nagarom 7 fix to this image. No luck.
Then I read about CGScott's image. Followed every step. Did a Brute Scan. Then I went to BBC 1. After waiting 10 seconds..Vioila!!! Perfect! All the channels are there, some are duplicate so it is indeed a bit messy, but it works!!! I'm so happy! All my trouble was not for nothing thanks to you Chris! BTW, I'm in Dublin, so lads in Dublin, this is what you need to do:

I appreciate folk getting back and letting people know this does work.
Especially in Ireland.
The reason it has double the channels is the image is uk scanned on my box and has the channels preloaded.
So once scanned in ireland using bruteforce you end up with some channels channels from uk and ireland.
If and when you are confident at loading up the images. I can send you an image that is fresh and when installed will take you straight to the search at the start.
Then when scanned using bruteforce will show only ur area laist when loaded.
