hi chris and all
just to be on the safe side.
if you have a dreambox in ireland you can put the latest codes (keys) into the box manually using the remote control
you will find the latest codes here :-

to change them....
on any channel press the blue button
choose tux box
on dir click ok
then click right and go down to var then ok
then click ok on keys
then on key files DO NOT CLICK OK... click 4 (to edit)
change the 01 code first (n 5401 01) only the 16 digit code that follows this. and not the date etc after that
then click ok then exit
then red to save
then exit again
then red to save again
go back in the same way
then change the 00 code (n 5401 00) again the 16 digits only
then ok then exit
then red to save
then exit and red to save again
then you have to re-boot your box
to change the actual code lines first use the remote to go to the codes you need to change ( nm 5401 00 or 01)and click ok
the line will enlarge and the first letter will become red (i think its red)
then right or left on the remote to highlite the digit you need to change then use your remote like a mobile phone when texting.
dont't forget to save each line as you change it and remember to change the 01 code before the 00 code ( i dont know why but sometimes if you do it the other way around it doesn't work) and you will have to reboot...
this is just incase the new image flash doesn't work and you dont wanna miss the footy.
btw.
i never said chris's image was not succesful.. i think i said it was unproven in ireland (but i could be wrong)

i do not think i know it all, just read this and many other forums and you will se me asking for advice and help. this is not the actions of a man who thinks he knows it all.
my ears are well and truly open and i have received loads of help from chris and others on this forum. i have also posted my thanks for this help.
i will continue to look for and hopefully receive help.
but joxer you have a u.k. ip address. i dont know it all but i do know that. can you explain how you tested the fix in ireland then post to this forum from the u.k. something else i do not pretend to know how to do.....
as for calling me a twit i agree i am a twit and a lot of other things, but hopefully i am learning and this condition of mine is improving all the time.
one thing i am not however, is pretending to be someone i am not, i.e. an irish broad band user with a u.k. ip address.

tried phase 123's fix last night, i.e. ftp'ing the new nagra roms into the scce file on my dreambox using my bother in laws hub.
the dreambox rebooted ok but i didnt have to do a new scan because i ftp'd the new files into the existing image dw v 1.6.5
so now i am just waiting for nt hell to start their jiggery pokery with changing codes to be able to confirm it's working.should be today at some point if they stick with their usual form of doing it when theres a match on.

4. Once you have connected to the dreambox. Open Flashwizard. Go into configuration and ultilies at the bottom of the box. Make sure the ip of the dreambox is the same as the one in dcc. It should be. If not change it.
Now Click Install a Firmware to flash memory. Now you will need my WORKING IMAGE. You downloaded above. Click the open folder tab. Browse for the image. Should be on your desktop as instructed above. Click open.
The image should now be visible in the box.
Now click flash image backup. This will install the image to your box.
Takes approx a minute.
Once completed reset the box. PLug into ur tv. And try.
It should now show that the flash is installed.
Do the scan using bruteforce.
Once the scan has finished check your channels. TRY SS1 FIRST. If you dont have the channel. Reboot box. This time the evocam should startup and will roll the channels.
This is the simplest way to install this image. If this doesnt work or you have problems connecting to your dreambox you will have to go down the null modem route. Please leave me a message if you have problems with this.

Lads It Works
I followed the tutorial word for word. Made my own crossover cat5 cable, downloaded the soft and firmware as advised and installed as per tutorial.Scanned using the N*L ie option in the service provider box and it works. Watched S*y Sports 1 and Movies in Ireland.
One problem there is a lot of duplicate channels with the same name some work some dont, but they are all there (dont know yet if this is my fault). I dont know will it autoroll but I assume it will because it decoded all channels this morning.
This box belongs to a mate so I wont have it for much longer but I still have to do my own so I will keep you posted.

just wanted to underline something.
i do not believe joxer is in ireland...
he talks about his internet service provider being irish broad,
he also says above that when he re-scanned his box he used the nlt.ie option is the service provider box.
anyone with a dreambox in ireland knows that all of these statements are plain wrong.
add to that the fact that his ip address is in the u.k. and it doesnt take a genius to realise that he is not who he claims to be.
i think we all know who he really is,
he said " i dont know if it will autoroll but i assume it will because it decoded all the channels this morning "
my box decodes all the channels and doesn't autoroll i am still putting the codes in manually like every one else (until we can get chris's fix working, or rather until he fixes it for us lol ) why say something like that?
i wonder who will be the first to reply to this post?
if there is any genuine irish users of this post please take a look and let me know what you think.
i am being bullied and ganged up on in here so i need and external viewpoint.

Ok Guys. Heres images for both null modem and flash wizard.
This is a fresh image not a backup of my box.
I started from scratch so it is just a working image.
The images have autoroll and have scanning for every service provider.
Once installed it will ask you to do a scan. There is a list of diffrent scan i.e uk, ntl ireland etc
Make sure you scan your area.
Once you have done this. select a channel wait at least 1 minute if the channel does not start press the blue button and press ok on evocam 2.12. This will start the cam. And you will get your channels.
This is a fix for everyone and especially the irish boxes so that you dont have the double channel problem

I would like to do it via null cable and just want to check that the last image works with ch***s irl and is there any other info i need before i start.
If image dosn`t work with ch***s could you tell me one that does via null cable.

I started from scratch so it is just a working image.
The images have autoroll and have scanning for every service provider.

Make sure you scan your area.
Once you have done this. select a channel wait at least 1 minute if the channel does not start press the blue button and press ok on evocam 2.12. This will start the cam. And you will get your channels.
This is a fix for everyone and especially the irish boxes so that you dont have the double channel problem

Thanks for this cgscott. I am in Cork City on the Chorus cable. I loaded on your image using crossover cable/IP and copied the file to /tmp folder then perfromed a flash from the menu.
Everything came up as planned and did an Automatic Transponder scan using Chorus selection from the list. Found all channels and added them to the list for me.
Some channel did not work first time out until I followed your steps on the blue button/evocam 2.12 trick. After this I had them all working (inc SS1).
Am I correct in saying that I now no longer need to edit the Keylist.txt file with new codes going forward?

As this is my m8 box and he hasn`t got a clue about it and i`m not very familiar with it, is there an easy way to organise channels favs etc?

Thanks to the folks at DW. How do you find the image Chris I see all ROMs are fixed. I have Andromeda but was thinking of DW 2 know quite a few guys there and they are haunting me to swap images.
