I haven't read any previous pages but any nonsense that's going on by whoever - Drop it.
This thread is supposed to be about Dreambox 500C - any silly, unrelated comments will result in a slap.

the only problem i had with my box was manually changing the keys.
i stated earlier and left thanks for help with the 3 nagra roms which i ftp'd onto the box and solved my problems.
since then it seems you have been taking great time out of your life to persecute me.
bullying is what someone described it as to me.
i will not rise to your insults and i will continue to follow this thread and use the very useful information i find.
i do not apologise to bullies
if i can help anyone please feel free to pm me as other people have done and i will do my best to help.
sorry to all the genuine people out there who have to keep reading this poison. at least its not aimed at you lol
keep up the good work everyone.
p.s.
has anyone noticed if they are doing code changes still??
i dont for 1 minute assume they have given up.
what does everyone on here think this means. are they looking at other ways to solve their problem?

Nobody is bullying you, we are simply pointing out that you were out of line with your comments.
The "bullies" as you call them are the guy that took time out to help you, and out of frustration, you insulted him and myself who could not believe you had done so.
Anyway it is obvious you have not read his help because you are still rambling on about keys which everyone has fixed with the tutorial the man supplied.... notice the absence of input?
DROP THIS "leave me alone" crap and supply positive input to everyone and not by private message!.

hey everybody,
i have a friend who is interested in buying a dreambox..he lives in louth in ireland and does not recieve n*l..he was wondering if he was to buy an n*l dish would this work for a dreambox and would he recieve full capability of a dreambox..??
Any help would be hugely appreciated..

Ive not been posting as i dont need any further help( MY BOX IS WORKING) but i have been watching whats going on and some people are being just nasty and bullies. As im a lady im not going to mention any names but the idiots out there know who they are!.
All i can say is that if it were not or Chris CGSCOTT then my box would not be working. I can thank him personally _ which i have done on more than 1 occasions for helping both me and my friend with our boxs. He has time and patience and is NOT GETTING PAID for this work. He is giving up his free time - which im sure like most people he has better things to do but NO! what does he do. The guy comes on here to help people, gets abused by some. Thankfully Chris your man enough to overcome these idiots.
So guys n gals if your box is working and your happy then leave these guys alone. IF your box is NOT working then PLEASE go back a few pages and READ all the information coz IT IS THERE for you to see.
And for the idiots numpties dopeys etc etc out there ................GROW UP and get a life!

sorry to be a pain am new to cable dreamboxes. Have experience with 7020s but not the dm500c i have just bought.
Have installed the dreamzworld 2.0 software but do not know what to do with the keys.
I live in the midlands, I believe it is an old ntl area. now virgin media.
Do i need tointall any cams or extra software to get the keys to work and what are the current keys pls.

Look back on pages and find posts by CGSCOTT all the info he has put shoudl help you sourt out your problem - he has been a BIG help to people

hi rob,
if your using chris's fix then he has said previously if its not working press the blue button on the remote and ok to re-start the emu. this should solve the problem.
the fix is complete and really doesn't need you to do any more. make sure your scanning the correct service though.
i hope this works for you (don't forget to let us know how you get on and post a thank you for chris. he made the image himself)

Hey all,
Been reading this thread for a bit, but have become confused. Have a DreamBox 500, and can get some channels, but theres lots that I cant get since they all went down in April. Can't RTE1, UTV, BBCs Sky Sports amongst others. Have had a look un Tuxbox and can see the codesbeing refreshed quite regularly. Any idea what I can do?

FRESH INSTALL IMAGES I PROMISED
Ok Guys. Heres images for both null modem and flash wizard.
This is a fresh image not a backup of my box.
I started from scratch so it is just a working image.
The images have autoroll and have scanning for every service provider.
Once installed it will ask you to do a scan. There is a list of diffrent scan i.e uk, ntl ireland etc
Make sure you scan your area.
Once you have done this. select a channel wait at least 1 minute if the channel does not start press the blue button and press ok on evocam 2.12. This will start the cam. And you will get your channels.
This is a fix for everyone and especially the irish boxes so that you dont have the double channel problem

I have flashed a box using both methods and can tell you now that they work.

Had a look at doing that, but dont think I have the right cable, to connect to a network.
Do you have the latest codes for the dreambox, or where I might be able to find them?

But my tutorial fix does work so when you do get the right cable fix it.
Saves a lot of time and hassle.

Cool thanks Chris for the reply, I will try to fix it proper once I get the cable.
About the codes, do I have to delete all the stuff about rom7 au etc.. and just have the codes that you have given?

Tried that there, but theres no change. Some channels are still working. Others I only get the EPG information and a black screen..

hi colmise.
i dont want to step on chris's toes but,
when you change the codes change the 01 code first then save then save.
go back in and change th 00 code then save then save
you must then re-boot your dreambox and wait i minute or so.
there is a full tutrial on how to change the codes manually on here somewhere thats where i learned how to do it

Just downloaded your Dreambox image chris.Many thanks for posting it.Going to try it tomorrow cos I,m too hungover from the weekend to face it now.Hopefully it will work and no more scavenging for codes.Thanks again.

No hopefully about it mate. Just make sure you scan your area. i.e uk ntl ireland or chorus etc

I have not had chance to do this yet. But thanks very much for your quick response and origional solution respectivly. Will let you know tonight when I get access to cable at my folks.
Just to confirm there is no need for me to enter any of these extra keys that I see given out.

Ok first I,ll say I,m not very technically minded and maybe I missed something in the fix.i Flashed the Image chris posted with null modem cable and found all channels but even after rebooting i still had to change the freaking N** keycode by the usual one digit to get the channels.Any suggesions? Did a goof it up or did I miss something?

The image you need and the instructions to do it are on this page.Just read cgscotts posts.You just need to download the image chris posted from rapidshare and the dreamup sofware if you don't already have it.All you need then is a null modem cable to connect your box to your pc and flashing pretty straightforward from there.
