Go to manual scan, type 00291 for the frequency, enable 64qam, enable network search ONIT BAT, start the scan.

Yes, i have a starv**w box which shows all channels when connected to the same cable. Is it possible this is a clone box, would it flash at all if it was?

Only newer gemini images are killing clone dreamboxes and after that such a box is really dead.
Do you get something at the bar for signal strength in the manual scan menu at 291 mhz?
Btw you have to type the leading zeroes for 00291 at a 500c box or you get 29,100 instead of 291.

If you have a clone box and have flashed with an inappropriate image could mean that the box is now undetectable. There are loads of clone boxes out there and if you read other threads here you will see the complications givin by these. If the wrong image is flashed then the boxes can be fried so to speak.

Thanks for help. I typed the leading zeros. The fact that the box flashes OK and i can get a menu, etc. Would this suggest that it is not 'dead'. Where is the bar strenth? I don't have the box connected at the mement, but i was seeing 71% and 99% in two bars at the bottom of the screen, are these the strengthy?

Yes, i've got cable, mmds, bruteforce. I've tried them all, even some of the UK ones, finds nothing. Surely someone has seen this before??

Yest this has been seen before. When using a null modem cable when asked to flash erase you must click no. If you click yes you end up with the basic image again.
Dreamup asks you this after youve selected the image you wish to install. Always clcik NO to flash erase.

oh no dotn do that i was todl it was one of the best boxes out there. You jsut gotta persevere. Ok i didnt do mine but a friend got it to work for me floolwed CGSCOTTS advise and got it working so doing give up hope mate! it might be complicated and yes one of the probs i think was people were erasing stuff they shoudlnt - jsut all got confusing but you will fidn that most people on here managed to get the D boxes up and running again. Im sure if you look back at posts you WILL find the answers go thro it slowley step by step - maybe if you cotnact CGSCOTT he may be able to help you further - he is a good bloke!

Hi there newbie here, Im trying to enter new codes into my dream box 500c, I get as far as Var/Keys , but there no Keylist txt file. Any help with this would be great.

Just one question, there is just a fix for DM500T in page 18 but when I try it, nothing, There is a AU solution for 500T ?

just want to say a big up to cgscott's guide in updating image to dw2.0 - it was pretty simple to follow and it worked a treat. thanks man!! I had to join this forum just to thank cgscott and now i have discovered theres a lot more to this forum than just dm500c - lol
