hello
i did a factory rest today but lost all keys can someone help me on how to get into them again, (not a key request) it is showing a menu i havent seen for a while so forgot how to use keys list

Hi there,
i need some help and hope someone will be able to help. i live in london virgin area and i have dream box 500c and today lost both setanta channels (sport 2 & golf) and i got message that (service could not be found!)

hi everyone, i would like to inform that i did fatory reset and scand again then activate the Evocamd 2.12 and got the lost both setanta channels (sport 2 & golf) back.

Why do people factory reset. There is no need to do this.
If you lose channles just simply rescan and it should pick them up.

I am about to move house & have always used cable. Now will only be able to receive Sky. Do these dreamboxes do the same job that Eurovox boxes do with my cable. Advice would be appreciated prior to purchase :-). Thanks

Sky is not hacked in order to view channels through sat you need to go down a route called cardsharing.)
Google and you will find out more about this.

Hi all. 1st post. Just wanted to say a big thank you to cgscott.
I have been trawling the web for a few days looking for a fix for my dreambox, when I came across this forum & more particularly this thread.
I D/L the Image posted by CG back in april & followed the tutorial for the null modem cable & hey voila! I have all my channels.
Brilliant & so simple even for a numbskull like myself.

just flash over the top of the old image....(that is to say
you do not need to perform a flash erase first)
if your using cg scotts newest image, when asked if you want to do a flash erase you must click no, else it wont work

I've spent 8 hours and 47 mins with my DM500c today and so far not so good. I know you probably don't care but who else can I tell?! Hopefully you feel my pain.
After countless dead ends I finally found cgscott's image (thank you dude, very much appreciated). I've flashed the dm500c with it once and followed the advice religiously but no luck.
I did allow dreamup to perform a flash erase during the process however and have read that this might cause a problem so I'm in the process of reflashing now.
In fact, it has just finished so I'm going to sign off and initiate a brute force scan again.
No questions yet just saying hello and thanks for all your advice thus far.

Ok as I managed to get this going without asking any stupid questions can I ask a couple now?
1-Although I understand Nirgin aren't upset by the presence of the dm500c won't they notice that the digibox is no longer connected? I guess they probably can detect this but would register it as a fault and their efficient customer services will be concerned that I have a reduced service and send someone straight around?
2-I've read a lot about keys and autorolling etc... as I didn't have to worry about this (thanks to cgscott) do I need to perform some sort of update every few days?
Thanks again for all of you who asked good questions and for those sweet sweet answers.

You need to manually start the evocam
press the blue button on your remote, and then press ok once the 'evocamd' is selected

hello just quick question i have to keep puttin keys in manualy is there a way i can stop this so it auto rolls the keys it self becuase this is annoying and i have dounled the new dw2.1 image
can any one help me???? what do i need to do

the problem that seems to happen most is when you flash the new image when you are asked if you would like to delete the old flash/image YOU MUST SAY NO.
try flashing again from the beginning, and click no to erase, when you reboot give it a minute or two to download the new key info.
if this still doesnt work re-start the evo-cam !!
