hi all,

i have a wii and its great, however:-

i also have a nintendo ds and i bought an r4 card ( which is really only an s.d. adaptor for the nintendo d.s. game card slot)

i can now download .nds files games etc save them on an sd card plug it into the r4 adaptor and play them on my d.s.

so.....

where can i download .wii files games and play them on my wii. or even .cube files ( i made these file types up) for use on my wii?

any ideas?

game cube must have been cracked by now.....

.wii is a compressed Wii ISO and not that common tbh - just go search for Wii Isos.

Frankly I wouldn't ask anyone here where to find stuff when Google does it so much quicker and gives so many sources.

First of all you have to own the game to make a backup of it.
Or you can do the whole 24 hour burn, play, and destroy.

To find ISO(wii) files you need to use torrents.

Public Torrents.

However I think the best of is wiiisos.info you get it from the servers (not peer to peer) so it doesn't take as long. You just download all the link and you got your game.

so i get a torrent programme
search for wii iso files on google or wiiisos.info
download them
burn them to a disc ( cd or dvd)

and i have wii games??

do i need the original game to play the downloaded iso games?

It is the law.
You can make a backup of a game that you not own and play it, however you have to destroy within 24 hours. That gives you enough time to see if you like it.

P.S. You have to use DVD to burn ISO files. CDs won't work

I should point out that the wii needs a modchip to play these backup or downloaded games. It should be fairly obvious to those here but it hasnt been mentioned yet and I'm not sure if the origional poster is aware of it.

I think you're absolutely right based on what I've re-read. Anyone who has a modchip wouldn't ask about downloading wii games in such general terms - and they wouldn't be guessing at ".wii" being an extension like ".nds" is. It's mere coincidence that there is a .wii file extension that relates to compressed Wii games.

When you check out this thread here it's patently obvious that he has no chip.

markarman - don't bother grabbing any Wii backups or GC stuff cos you don't have a modchip and they won't run. If you want to know about modchips then browse the various threads in this section. I'd wait a good while until you are 100% au fait with everything before you even go near one as well cos it's a serious alteration that requires the user to fully understand it if they don't want to have problems. It'll cost you as much as half the cost of your console again (and possibly even more) to get one fitted btw and it's a professional job - not one for somebody who is a complete novice.
