dvd xcopy xpress fails after read

I have dvd x copy Platium. Advanced works fine but xpress goes through the read process and then closes.
I saw this posted and was wondering if there is a patch or something to fix this.

"Some people have reported that for some disks, the program hangs or crashes as it starts to process Disk 2. We found the problem."
