Haha, rather odd;

1) Theoretically safer than official firmware.

2) Far better than official firmware.

So why ever not?

Yes, but you were trying to get to custom firmware at that point... I don't know what happened with you, but it bricked and that's that. The only reason you couldn't fix it was because you weren't already on custom firmware, if you had have been, it would have been easy to fix. You could just get custom firmware to play games and emulators and it would be 100% safe...

The reason it happened was because i had f versions 1.50 & 3.40 on my ms, and i updated it with online update fw 3.93 which was put on the memory stick and put into my psp to update it hile it still had the other fws on the ms............... if u understand.........?
