Fat PSP
3.90 OFW
Only ONE battery

1. Is there a way to downgrade to 1.50 from 3.90 OFW with one fat PSP, only one battery, and to then "normalise" battery back to working order.
2. Also, is there a soft version of Pandora's battery, since I am so cheap I don't want to buy a spare battery.

i have seen some links online, but nothing concrete for 3.90....

3. One last question (!) my fat PSP with 3.90 OFW doesn't go into recovery mode when I am pressing down R on bootup.. is there somethin I'm doing wrong?

Thanks in advance!

you can only softmod the battery if you have access to a custom firmware psp. otherwise, you will have to hardmod or buy the datel tool battery.

recovery menu is ONLY for custom firmware. official firmware has no recovery menu, whatsoever.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

i believe you could hard mod you psp battery
this guide: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/620243

then use this pandora guide : http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/610313

install custom firmware 3.70m33+ then using your ac adapter
run this umpsv3r3 installer: http://www.upms-project.com/modules.php?...p=getit&lid=140

use this guide for reference : http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/580254

installing the : 'sleep fix Multi-IPL' option in the above program should allow you to boot your psp with a pandora into custom firmware and access the upms pandora menu by holding the l trigger button.

warning* a member previously told me that as may as 3 in 20 psp will not start with out a battery (ac adaptor alone) after being pandoraed this may effect you so you may still have to get another battery

thanks all - shame there's not a soft mod if you are on 3.90. I just don;t want to risk frying the battery.

Should be easier than all this - who knows.. maybe in a few weeks there will be an update/patch out so it's all software not soldering parts and frying batteries....

thanks amyways !

Another question - is there a software version of creating a pandora's battery if I have 3.90 OFW?

I finally bought a second battery, will use original as Pandora - but I worry about shorting the nattery/explosions/battery fluid leakage ... (battery fluid + skin = burnnnns).

Are there any software installers I can run, or a process I can perform with my original battery, second battery and my Fat PSP - no access to CFW psp.

I appreciate all the help so far - I have searched these forums along with a number of others, it all seems either outdated (i.e. im on 3.90 OFW) or a combination of steps from different areas.

I mean, if I HAVE to I can hard mod the battery, however one site was saying all I need is a safety pin/needle???

for example: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/620243

A small but STRONG metal object to remove the pin.

OK...

I learnt my lesson hard-modding/soft-modding (dont know why its called soft mod - you are PHYSICALLY modifying the HARDware).

As I ran the knife down the side of the battery, I got a nice little spark and the tasty smell of smoke... I am sorry, but this has got to be one of the most dangerous processes - there has to be a software mod (and I mean software) for this...

Anyways I am glad it didn't explode and I lost an eye and a couple of fingers!

If anyone knows of a way of modifying a battery via software only, please can you enlighten all of us !

- if so. I am going to put together a noobs guide once mine has worked - no sparks, no smoke, no soldering (!!).

the ONLY way to flash the battery is with a custom firmware psp. that's how pandora's battery was first created.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
