I have a Xbox 360 with the HDMI manufatured 7-2-07 , I know its not a Samsung DVD drive,It might be a BenQ or new Hitachi? Are the new Benq and Hitachi flashable ? And 1 more Question , Flashing the FW makes the 360 more RRoD prone Does anyone know ? I've had so many RRoD 360's. I just don't want to go thru that crap anymore. :(
Thankyou
Pittfan
Also the new 360's are designed slightly differently for cooling purposes to prevent the RROD. They were also redesigning the cpu slightly to hep with this, although i don't know if this is in the new consoles yet. But i'm almost posotive the benq's are not supposed to be as prone to the RROD as the older consoles.
The new consoles have been redesigned slightly, still seen a couple rrod falcon consoles for sale though.
There are 3 different new board designs coming out in the near future I do believe.
Well, even with the newly redesigned motherboards, you'll still see a few with the three red light errors. The three red lights are not just due to overheating. Any number of hardware problems will cause the error.
So even though MS has addressed the overheating issue, that doesn't mean you won't still see a few with errors. You just won't see the high failure rate which the 360 experienced due to overheating anymore.
Instead of starting a new thread . I have one more Question , Does updating the Xbox 360 updates before a Flash FW " Spring update" Give it a better chance to be caught on Live ?...I just want as much info as I can get. Maybe someone knows, Thanks
