Should I start using mulleter's autofix tool for every game?

Hey guys. Ok, for the past couple of days, I've been trying to backup Turning Point. For reference, I'm using a samsung flashed with Kreon 1.00 and a Pioneer 111d.
The first time I ripped the game to my hard drive, I put it through mulleter and it failed ALL of the ixtreme requirements. That was with xbox backup creator (the latest). So of course I deleted the image and tried again, this time with schtrom (the latest). This time, when passed through mulleter, it met all of the requirements for ixtreme, so I burned it using imgburn at 2.4x on verbatim media.
So, I stuck it in my 360 to try and boot it. My dvd drive then began to make a weird noise. If I could guess, I would say that it sounded like the laser readjusting over and over again, moving back and forth. I then get an unreadable disc error. I burned using the .dvd file made by schtrom, so the layerbreak and such should be correct.
My 360 still boots all of my other backups no problem.
So, I guess my question is what am I doing wrong? Also, is anybody else experiencing these problems?
Any help appreciated. We all know how expensive verbatim coasters get to be ;)
Regards

The only problem I can see is that your wasting a dual layer on that game. (lol) But Im thinking your problem is that the main game the original is scratched. I have had the same problem with crackdown forever. Its just that sometimes the disk is hit in one spot and it ruins it for the whole game. I mean it will still play as a original but it becomes impossible to backup

Try to extract the game.iso and then open the game.iso in dvdmulleter and go to crc checking and click auto fix. It should then download all the needed security sectors and inject them for you. Then make a .dvd file for the game and burn at 2.4x with imgburn. I had to do that with the simpsons game to get it to work.

alright, i'm trying that now. i'll get back to you with the results.
EDIT: before burning the new copy, I tried the other copy again. Worked flawlessly, multiple boots in a row. Idk what's up with that.
EDIT 2: nevermind. Just tried again. Apparently sometimes it boots, sometimes it doesn't

Really weird. A few of my games wont boot the first time. I have to wipe them down and try again. You could try to make another copy using the method I suggested. My Simpsons back up would not boot on my xbox and I got the dirty disc message. Took it to a friends house and it loaded to the start screen and then gave the dirty disc error. What is your ripping method? I'm doing it the old school way and ripping the ISO with wxripper and then patching the game.iso with dvdmulleter. If your using that samsung kreon drive there could be a very small chance it didn't grab everything when you made the ISO. It could be worth it to try rebuilding it. Let me know what happens.

Well, I'm really hesitant of trying it again, simply because the discs are so different. Also, I'm not getting a "dirty disc" error. I'm just getting an "Unplayable Disc" error.

Never mind. I re-ripped the image, and used DVDMulleter's Autofix, along with just about every other check it can perform lol. The new one works great! Thanks a lot guys.
This raises another question for me though: I've copied many of my discs before using my Kreon drive, and have never experienced this problem before. Should I just start using mulleter for checking the checksum, and the autofix and such from now on?
Any thoughts appreciated!!

Good to know it worked. I think I'm gonna put a guide up for people that come across this issue. I looked all over the net for help when I started buring and stumbled apon the auto fix. Don't know if it works for every game but so far so good.

If you are ripping your own backups, you don't use the autofix. The disc you are ripping from obviously has all the correct data. The problem with Mulleter is that their database only contains the info from from whatever games have been uploaded. And theres many different builds of each game.
Your Turning Point disc may have security info which isn't in Mulleters database. So you'll get an error back and ask if you want to fix. If you use the autofix you'll end up with miss matched data. And while Mulleter may then show it as stealth and it may still play in your 360, it could set off a flag at MS if you ever log on to LIVE with it.
During the last wave of bannings, when CoD4 and The Orange Box scene releases came out, people (including those who manage the Mulleter database) believe bad data was uploaded to the database. People were fixing rips with that data and people were getting banned.
Reportedly, the data base has been wiped out and new data has been entered since then.
But still... you don't know where that data is coming from. When you rip your own games, you're 100% positive of where it's coming from.
You have something else going on. If that game boots, even if only once out of several tries, then it's not your rip missing info. You're either having a burning issue, media issue, or a 360 laser issue.
What speed is your firmware? The lower speed, the better your drive will read. And when is the last time you checked for updated firmware for your burner? There has been updates for the 111d.
I use the 111d. I burn at 4x on Verbs (both the old and new) with Clone CD and my backups have worked on every single console I've flashed to date. I use the 8x read speed on the 360s.

I have ixtreme 1.4 for the hitachi. if there's multispeed available for it, I'm unaware, so I have the only speed that I know of
I'm burning on verbs at 2.4x
I ripped the game straight from the disc, why would it not boot on the first time then when all of my other discs do? Also, once I used autofix, then the new disc booted just fine. Hmmm. So, it's not a media issue, it's not a 360 issue (I wouldn't assume or else it would have the problem for the rest of my games)and I don't believe it's a burning issue either. I will, however, check to see if there's a firmware update for the good old pioneer.
