I'm getting one as soon as I can find one, my sixaxis has been teetering on death for months now. Hopefully Sony improved on the quality on the analogs for the DS3.

My analogs are very sticky too. I'm sending in my PS3 to get fixed though so I'll just write that my controller is sticky and hopefully they'll give me a new one under warranty! :)

Yeah that's what I tried but I haven't gotten the darn box to send it in, and its been 2 months. I figure it isn't worth the bother because it's just going to break again in like a month anyway.

Yep any PS3 controller will work on any region system.

I'm not gonna lie, I hated the rumble when I had it for the last system. But, I think I'm gonna give this one a whirl, especially with all the upcoming games supporting it.

Have any of you seen it in the retail stores yet? Its official release date is the 15th but I read that if the stores get them early, they can put it on the shelves immediately.

If nothing else, I'll get it when I go pick up my reserved GTA IV: Special Edition. It's another $55 bucks though. Who knew gaming would be so expensive? lol

At least I'm getting GTA IV: Special Ed. for 80 bucks.

Personally I could care less whether it has rumble or not, I just want my analog sticks not to fudge up after a few weeks use. I haven't seen them in any of the walmarts or EB games yet around here, but I do live in a Canadian town after all =\

Honestly if the DS3 hasn't fixed the analog problem I'm gonna look into getting one of those new pads Nyko is making.

One of those 3rd party controllers received good ratings in the magazines. I think it was Nyko's. All the other ones were rated terribly.

I started using my 2nd controller recently (I received it on Christmas). That first one is pretty bad now. Before, it used to spin my characters in circles but recently the left stick gets hung up in a position (top left).

I was playing my MLB 08 the Show when I wanted to throw a fastball up and away in the zone but because it got stuck, it was well off the plate and a wild pitch ensued. The runners on base advanced. Bastards lol.

Has anyone who's had the DS3 for awhile experiencing the same analog problems as we have had with the sixaxis?

Oh and I found an awesome 3rd party controller though it's wired, it has both a USB plug and a PS2 plug. Here's the deal maker: its an alienware.

I haven't managed to find anything on it on the actual alienware site but I'm gonna keep digging because its near irresistible.

One of those alienware controllers you were talking about? I've had one of those for quite awhile for my computer... but the left analog messed up after about 2 weeks of use... I've been using my sixaxis fomr my ps3 on my computer lately for over a month and it still works perfectly fine. I personally wouldnt recommend the alienware controller though... they seem to break as fast as everyone claims their sixaxis ones do... And i cand get my Ps3 to even recognize the alienware controller cus its a ps2 dual shock 2... not meant for ps3
