I mean if you have the access to the usual places where the PAL ISO is then you will most likey be able to get the NTSC-J ver.
Just use your own region!
you gotta remember, if they are willing to go so far for a chipped-wii...maybe they went so far as to get it in japan or from a japanese source ;) especially if they wanted it earlier than their country, which tends to parallel half of this thread.

well...most of the pal ISO websites do indeed have Wii JP ISOs. But there aren't many. As you stated, PAL ISOS, they mostly have the PAL WII ISO. To be honest, the JP MK ISO is out already but you could only find it on BT. There is still no direct download.

Stars, and the letter rankings, are awarded based on your performance, up to a max of 3. Your performance is rated by your overall points and your individual race and lap times. That's why you can sometimes get 1 star without gaining 60 points. To get stars you need to win and win fast.

Thanks that makes more sense now. I was thinking to myself, why is this so random? I came first place in 3 of the four races and second place in one and before i know it i get an A instead of a Star. It was annoying when i was tryin 2 unlock Dry Bowser.

I found you get better ratings when you use auto drift. Manual drift even if you get 1st and good times in every race you may not get a * rating.

Hi, I've just finished downloading Mario_Kart_PAL_WII-MOMENT, extracted the ISO file and burned it on a Philips DVD+R Media using Nero 8. The burning process went smooth and then I inserted the game disc in my Wii. I have Wii 3.2U NTSC with Wiikey Modchip 1.9s. I run the update that comes with the game disc and I got duplicate Wii channels. I also saw the icon of Mario Kart in the disc channel and pressed start to play the game. I saw the instructions screen explaining how to use the Wii remote and then suddenly it comes to a black screen with an error of "The Game Disc could not be read. Please readt the Wii Operations Manual for mor information." Did I miss something? Why is it not working with me?

Your suppost to brick block the iso!
It blocks the update

i just burned mario kart and ran the update, before reading this forum. I used wiigion free , to convert my iso from Pal to Ntsc. I ran the update on my ntsc wii, and i cant access my system settings, is there a way to undo this, and also i get to the menu of the game, and after 5 seconds it gives me a disk read error, any solutions???

Hmm looks like your wii is semi Bricked.. From what i know, this can be fixed by using an NTSC game and running an update. You may have to wait for the NTSC mario kart to come out before you can do so.. Next time always use BRICK BLOCKER and don't take any chances.. If you brick block a game and it does not work just let it be... Dont try 2 do stuff that might damage your wii. I remember i brick blocked the Jap version of Smash bros and it did not work for me so i just waited till the US version came out and it was worth it.

It wont be as fast as going straight with a Bike doing a wheelie. There is no point in snaking in this new mario kart becasue you will need the entire tracks width to do so and if your playing with 12 other people thats not gonna happen...

please advise... got a copy of mario kart (pal)..
PAL wii console, internet updated to 3.2E
wiikey.. upgraded to 1.9s
once i put the disc in.. still asking me for system update.. what should i do now.. let it upgrade? or ??? please advise.. Thanks a lot.

Read the thread on REGION BRICKING then you won't need to ask about games in the future. PAL games updates on a PAL machine are ok.

The best place i find to get the instrcutions is boomerang game rentals, brilliant site just click on the game then click on the infomation icon next to it and you get the instructions :-).

Read the thread on REGION BRICKING then you won't need to ask about games in the future. PAL games updates on a PAL machine are ok.
