I am trying to back up an original mario kart disc. I have the wii key and wii is 3.2u. I read thru 14 pages and tried the patches, etc, but still doesn't work. Can people post what they used to backup their original disc. Thanks.

Working at last !!!

I've a Jap Wii NTSC 3.2J with WiiKey 1.9s. Downloaded Mario Kart Jap PAL. used the method described here :

"You can get rid of the 001 error for Mario Kart by using the following PPF Patch.

PPF Patch
GBATemp Mirror

NOTE: You will need PPF-o-matic which you can get here...
PPF-o-Matic"

Thanks to firefox 13.

I got rid of Error 01 and i'm able to play after loading Freeloader.

Have tested further. If not using freeloader, the game will prompt for an update of Firmware which i did not.

I tried rawdump but then I get the error 001 screen. Did you do anything else to it to work?

I downloaded the iso on a torrent that was PAL and I want to play it on a NTSC-U wii. I ran wii brick blocker and then region frii. The game boots to a black screen after it recognizes the game in the beginning. I did burn the original iso to a dvd but it asks for an update. (I have 2 dvd's and 1 modified ISO)

I am using a d2pro mod chip. My question is

I didnt copy the original ISO so now I have the modified ISO. Can I get that orinal burn back to an ISO w/out an lg drive?

How do I find out what version of the wii I am running?

I am not wanting to run the new 3.3 update because I havent got the homebrew channel up and running yet (waiting on the zelda torrent)

Thanks for the help

Edit:I just found where my version is. I have Ver 3.2U. Can I run this update from the un-brickblocked disc without any problems?

In order to play Mario Kart, you need to have 3.1J_v2, 3.1U_v2 or 3.1E_v2(depend on your wii console).

Check out Wii Update Manager(WuM) on google for more info.

hey guys
if someone can help me out quickly:

i have mario kart running fine on my pal 3.1e.
my question is more online related:

wanted to know if it is fine playing online?
i already have the mario kart channel installed.
but when i went to the online option, it asked me to send data to nintendo wfc, is
that cool, or will nintendo find out i have a wiikey and copied mario kart?
cool if anyone can let me know, thanks.

peace

I know this is an old thread but I have a question. I recently moved and when my kids want to play mario kart onoine it wont connect. It just keeps reading connecting to WFC. My wiff is soft modded with the USB loader and is version 4.1. I am updated on the game itself but I did not update the wii since I do not want the loader erased. Is there any reason that the mario kart game wont connect to wfc. all the games work and play fine but this is the first that I have tried since the move. any suggestions. I have done a search but the only thing that pops up is the old error codes and that is not what I am getting. thanks in advance
