If it's primarily for gaming, or even at all really go LCD. The only advantage plasma has is its blacks; other than that its basically a fragile accident waiting to happen.
They are too simular now days, it all depends on what size you want also! Plasmas have less motion blur for watching sports games and the likes, They also have darker blacks! LCD will get less glear so if you play games or watch movies in a well lit room get a LCD, if your someone like me who turns the lights out and closes the curtins, get a plasma.

I think you have it backwards--LCD's are the ones with less motion blur. Which is going to blur more, gas or a tiny light bulb?
Ironically, I just gave a speech on this in my public speaking glass. LCD is the best choice in TV's up to 50 inches. Higher than that, go with plasma until technology increases in LCD technology.
And for the sake of everyone, do not get a rear-projection TV.
[EDIT: BTW - PC World magazine just came out with an article that rated Vizio LCD TV's better than Sony, who came in 2nd as far as LCD's are concerned. Vizio TV's are about 30% cheaper than Sony, as well--so if you do decide LCD, I'd go with Vizio. I can even say from first hand experience that they are better.]

haha i knew it was one or the other, seen soo many articles about this subject that im starting to forget which is better for which! the point still stands that they both have their pro's and con's depending on what enviornment and what you are using it for.
Scashaggy make sure you do your research before you go in to look at TV's as in my experience the sellers know nothing and will just promote certin TV's even though it may not be the best one for you. In my case i was told quite a few lies by a few salespeople but because i had read about it i could tell them they were wrong, they wern't happy about that one :oD
