and I know that there are many threads about modding the 360. I want to mod my 360. Could I just send it to someone to have them do it for me. I just don't understand all the lingo that is written in some of the threads. Unless someone can write a version "Modding for Dummies", I am gonna try to recruit someone to mod it for me.

The system I want to mod has a broken DVD drive. And isnt that the part that needs to be flashed? If it is, then I would be willing to buy a flashed drive from someone.

How broken is the drive? does it open/spin up is it just giving dirty disc errors? There is a way to swap drives but requires spoofing the 360 into thinking it is the same drive, which requires you to be able to obtain original firmware/key from the original drive. It's more complicated then just modding, but your best bet would be to try and find someone who does it locally (i personally wouldn't trust some random person online) and paying them to do it. Try checking craigslist locally.

You Can Buy An Identical Dvd Drive and just swap out the Board on the bottom of it then flash the drive

It has a really good and easy guide to follow. Read it thoroughly before you flash your system. Also you should do it on windows not vista.
