I just got into doing this myself and I'm fairly new but I'd be more than happy to help you in any way I can. From what I've found so far, there isn't really an easy way to do it. This is the easiest that I've found:

1.A mod chip installed. There are solderless ones but they are around $60.Which is the way you should go.You still gotta open up the XBOX and install it.
2.Then you need evolutionX burned to DVD-r and get it to boot on the xbox.
3.network your PC and XBOX.
4.Install EVolutionX on XBOX hard drive.
5.then you copy games from XBOX to PC then From PC to Disk or from PC to XBOX hard drive.

Hope that helps you...

I also forgot to add that there is an xbox sold called a "modded xbox" that is already set-up for you that you can purchase on the web. That might be your best bet. You can just go to google and type modded xbox and you should be able to find one fairly easily.

The best thing i could possibly recommend if you are just starting out is to use the search function here at afterdawn. there are countless threads on exactly what you'll need to do. Anything from installing any chip out there, to backing up any game out there. It's all here somewhere. xbox-scene.com is also a great source of information. You'll want to start by finding out what version of xbox you have, so you'll know what chips are available to you.
