I know this drive does for backing up ps2 games, I'm waiting to get some good DL discs to try for the 360, but I'm pretty sure it should though considering it does for ps2 backups

LiteOn is a good drive and yes it will book type to dvd-rom.
It's much better then the Matshita in your laptop.
Always use good media like Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim and keep the firmware up to date.

lol, I like you, my Moderator Man!, you even know I got a Matshita although I didn't post it on this thread but rather the other thread, that shows how caring and passionate you really are! :)
Now I can only get Verbatim on Newegg, so where can I get Taiyo Yuden? Is Taiyo Yuden better than Verbatim?

T.Y.s are excellent... not only in quality but also cost. But you can't get them in dual layer. Use them for movies and Verbs for your games.

Yep no dual layer for TY. Verbatim all the way on dual layer.
You can also get Verbatim dual layer at Best Buy on sale or stores like that.
For TY (single layer) and Verbatim including dual layer look at supermediastore.com. Better prices then newegg usually on media. I've used them for years. Newegg is great for pc stuff.

Can't say I've ever had a problem w/ them tripplite.
I'll still take them over the memorex, tdk, dynex etc any day.
While by burners may burn them - whatever I play them in may not.
Heck even the my old ps2 will usually read the Verbs (movies).

NO! NO! dont get me wrong:) verbatim is the only media i use.....just i prefer not to get it from best buy.....i once bought a 20 pack there and all the discs were doggy discs......verb Singapore (version 1.0) has such great playback and such a low failure rate:)
