I have a PSP with the firmware 3.95. How do I prepare my psp to play them games? Anybody who knows or who actually got it to work, please respond.

You got NO CHANCE of running any PSP backups from your memory stick until you've installed Custom Firmware.

The guide is here.

http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/610313

And yeah of course - loads of ppl have it working. It's not an experiment. It's a firmware modification that enables it.

if you actually read the whole guide, and not skim it, you would see that you DO NOT run anything while on official firmware.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

I didn't see where it said that. I do however see , the very first line says that it IS FOR OFFICIAL FIRMWARE.

By the way, I can't even install custom firmware without it saying "The game could not be started." I tried two other PSPs

do you even have the battery? i'm assuming no, because you're running things on the psp. you DO NOT run anything while on official firmware. you will ALWAYS get the error because official firmware cannot run those files.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd

I'm trying to create a pandora's battery, isn't that what the guide was for?

But I even tried other guides on making pandora's battery but it didn't work either.

You cannot make a pandoras with an official firmware PSP. You'll have to buy one or hardmod a battery yourself.

if you read the second section, the battery, you would see that you do not run the creator. you either buy the datel tool battery or hardmod. no other way.

you CANNOT flash the battery with official firmware. only custom firmware has that ability.
