sorry for being a thicko but if i have this right, then latest software was to stop the code updating prob, but now the prob is back is that right or is it still worth updating with the 10/4 release

This has been my dealings with the new firmware so far. 4 blue boxes and 7 max v boxes flashed and all working fine. I noticed after immediately flashing the boxes and going to the power install menu ( i declined the fast install menu) that my signal strength was sitting at 8% I however just entered the relevent simbiotic rate and all the channels were scanned fine. On going back to the install menu my signal strength was sitting at 80%, weird huh. Anyway all boxes autoupdate fine 3 days on.

What't he relevant simbiotic rate? Where do I enter it? I'm with NTL Dublin.

Its called the MAX_V_BETA_WS_SB_RAR and can be found in scouser shared virtual drive link . Be sure after flashing to do a factory reset before you scan.

hi can anybody help, i have a 9 pin (female) conected to my box and a usb conected to my pc and im trying to run the program but its not working ive never flashed a box b4 pleaz help

so without this new update i cant get rid of the "codes updating please wait" message? cuz its been like it for days and its pissing me off!!!
my mate said its cuz v*rg*n have found a way to block these boxes, is this true?

just a heads up.their a people charging for the latest fix for update problems.dont pay theese goons who are ripping you off!!all the info you need is here on this site if you just take the time to look around for the rite fix for your box.ull save yourself the money.lol jb :)

hi there
i'm having problems downloading the new firmware
i have a usb-9pin hooked ok (i think)
but when i try to download, nothing happens
I THINK it's down to the comm ports
the usb-9pin is on comm8 and the software download seems to try open comm3
i can't change the comm setting on my computer as comm3 is in use and i don't know what for
is there a way of changing the firmware download to comm8?
or does anyone have any other ideas

Hey all
Trying to update software for Eurovox Max V and it just stays on the waiting for response from server screen. I bought a female Serial Modem Cable today that has two nine pins on each side. I don't know if its crossed or straight, whats the difference between the two? Does it matter? Also, how do i congigure my Com ports? It just keeps flashing between Com 1 and Com 3 when I press download. Any help would be HUGELY appreciated, been at it for about 12 hours and have gotten nowhere.

I updated the firmwire on friday which was my first time doing so im very pleased with my self.my box auto updated no problem but it took about 30mins and iam just woundering is this right or will it sort it self out.my box is eurovox max.thanks torres9

HI guys have downloaded the latest s/ware red 10/04/08 ufl says download sucessful but when i plug it back into the cable nothing tried to
go back to red 15 march 2007.bin but i cant seem to find a version of dnupman to load it, i'm messing up with the .bin file any ideas would be gratefully accepted been at it a while now

Hey Folks!
Download seems to have worked - did anyone else find that there Menu listings of whats on, epg etc have now dissappeared completely!

i got the codes twice last wk which worked. The second time to start with i went onto skysports 2. then menu yellow button!!!!( i was spoke through how to do this over the phone)which is easy if i could do it. The guy that got me the box took it away to update the software and now hardly get most chanels. Setanta is one and with the auld firm 2moro nite am panikin plz help

pc world didnt have null modem cable when i went up to them.try a smaller firm or ring around to see who has them in stock

I Had the same trouble with the codes, i had to eventually flash my dbox2 box with andromeda v2 image, then update the codes, or edit them which ever you find easier
pm me with your e-mail and i'll send you the image and give you more advice if you need it
