mmds aerial or parabolic dish

hey all
i have a box t, but could not get my hands on a ch..us parabolic dish
so i brought a mmds aerial looks like a gun out of flash gordan.
the problem is i only have about 30 channels and another 20 that are unwatchable, would a dish solve the problem or a stronger power supply
i have quality of 88% but only about 52%signal strenght.
i dont want to get ch..us involved

has any one got any ideas
im in wexford in ireland
