im flashing the ms28 and the 10 sec rule just doesnt work prepared the usb type in samread ******* ***** picks up the drive power down the 360 and select drive power up after 10 and nothing happens if you think you can i can give all additional info

thanks for the link ive read every tutorial going the problem i have is that the drive is detected but wont dump the firmware ive checked everything last night even mtkflash with a hex editing program and the chipset values are in place and when i go to flash it the chipset shows as xtreme pri and im in the master port im presuming mtkflash renames the chipset as this

bad flash method

I find it to be more of 12 seconds than 10 try that first.

And also: the 1 IDE drive you are suppose to leave attached needs to have a mediatech chipset. I think it's a requirement.

I thought the 10 second trick only applies to via chipsets. And really, it's not a matter of hitting the time perfect. If you listen to your drive, you can here it working. Once it's quiet then you can continue.

one for burnigas the ide drive i have connected is a necdvd-rw nd-4550a is this ok do you know as i cant find any info on it and also bhetrick you say the 10 sec only works with via chipsets i dont doubt
your judgement one bit and i am going to order a via 6421 card (but can anyone confirm this for me) thanks again youve both been most helpful
