According to Kwon Young-soo, CEO of LG Display, the company has seen growing demand for small-size LCD sets in recent times as more consumers dump bulky old televisions for newer flat-screens. i see people with tv's on there fridge, soon kids at school will have LCD'S embedded into their desks

i'll agree with that, but i would have to add to it.

demand is up for those sizes because that's what people can afford.

a/v enthusiasts and hdtv owners may not understand going smaller;
but if one couldn't afford to buy a "big screen" before,
why would they get one now that they're better and more expensive?

actually there´s a need for smaller sets... my kids have 22"(1680x1050) LG TVs in their rooms because of the limited space on their desks...

if i had the space, i'd have a big 1080p set.

I have a Sony 60" SXRD in my living room then a 26" Sony Bravia LCD in my bedroom so I'm set

Most definetly It was Major concern of mine that there would be no handheld DTV.

I live in florida in the summer we usally get storms that can knock out power for weeks, the fix it and it get's knocked out again.

this is good expecialy For handheld TV sets

i dont want any thing bigger i have a 27 inch , my wife says that people who want such big set must not be able to see good. lots of us can still see. just get glasses. ha ha.

I bought a 26" Olevia for our bedroom. Best purchase this year so far. It was either $450 for a 26" or over $1,000 more for a larger television. Maybe I will get a 42" next year for my living room.
