Good evening Folks,

Has anyone got any information on this new box being advertised on the link attached below.

Does anyone know what channels it can pick up, is a card required and can it be connected to a s*y dish.

Thanks in advance.

From what I here a motorized 1 metre dish is the way to
to go with these boxes.Gives you the freedom to watch all
the channels from different sattelites.

Is the quantum box only for Sky Digital? I'm looking to get a box for N*L cable digital in Dublin - should I get the Quantum box or just stick to the Max V?

Quantum box is for Satellite, but not Sly as only their proprietry boxes work. The Max V is fine for N** cable.

Not necessarily. You could start off with a single dish with a monoblock on it picking up astra 1 and hotbird. That would get you quite a lot for a start.

Instructions:

Plug Quantum into your satellite dish (pointing at Hotbord for starters), connect the Quantum
to your Router, switch on and very soon you'll be watching !

You have the choice of scanning for channels yourself, or downloading a list from the Internet
server - the list hasn't been sorted yet, so no real advantage over scanning yet. You also
download new firmware patches over the Internet.

There are several ways of finding the channels, probably the easiest for now is by Transponder.
Press the OK button and press Yellow for TP, now you can move up & Down through the
transponder list.

The NOVA, Adult & ART channels are all card share.

Make sure you are in Card-share mode:

MENU>PREFERENCES>LANGUAGE then Press BLUE 2528, you can have either C/S, XCAS or NONE,
make sure you are in C/S mode. Exit the menu, then on remote press 9777, you should get a
message "LAN C/S ON", now you can tune to a Card-share channel and watch it.

NOVA can be found on the following Transponders (Note, it's NOVA Greece and NOT CY):

TP 10930, TP 11923, TP 11938, TP 12169

ART: TP 12015

MCT & Redlight (Porn): TP 12092

Sexview (Porn): TP 12360

The Quantum can also decode other packages with it'sbuilt-in Patch in XCAS mode:

MENU>PREFERENCES>LANGUAGE then Press BLUE 2528, you can have either C/S, XCAS or NONE,
make sure you are in XCAS mode (Internet connection not needed for this part).

Go to a POLSAT Channel and wait a few seconds for a Key roll, then have access to a huge
package of Polish channels including Sport, Movies, MTV etc.

Also on XCAS is TPS, go to any channel on TP 10873, it will say "Sorry, Scrambled Channel" - Press
8888 to force a Key Roll and wait a couple of minutes, then change to one of the other channels
on the Transponder and Watch TV

In XCAS Mode other Packages open include Premiere on Astra 1 @ 19e (Note: Premiere can take
Hours to key roll).

Showtime on Arabsat @ 26e and Pehla on Nilesat @ 7w (Note: Arabsat & Nilesat need a huge
dish to receive in the UK)

PIN Numbers - Default Menu PIN is 0000 To turn ON/OFF C/S is 9777

Hi,

Got given one of these boxes the other week, and having major trouble finding anything to watch.

I'm assuming that the main channels to watch are the Nova channels.
However, the transponder's that they are on, we can't find on the channel list.

We're getting a few of the channels, all foreign, and lots of scrambled channels.

Any help would be of great help please!!

Thanks

I have box up and running but only on c/s mode. I have lost a number of channels in this mode and among them are the sexview stream. I cannot get Polsat or other channels in xcas mode. I would appreciate help in resolving problem.

Polsat switched to nagra3 for the premium channels, german premiere switched completly to nagra3 and nds, TPS switched off the cracked via1 system and so on.
There is not much left over you can watch.
