I've tried a few times and had no reply of any sort. We got our Wii back [phew] just before the bust but there was absolutely no functionality from the "chip". Tried every type of dvdr and still nothing... so £70 down the drain.
is there any way of testing that the Wii has actually been modded without opening it up?

Has anyone emailed Modchip Fitters and got a reply for a refund
I have tried twice with out any reply.
I've mailed them twice a week for the past month and a half. I've recived 2 mails about 2 weeks ago, what I have recieved have been helpful, but now I think they were lies as it seems they've slipped under the radar. I wanted a refund but was told all work would be completed and shipped out. I think that was their intention, but maybe something has happened since. Has anyone recieved anything back from elspa?
I couldn't wait anymore so I've bought a new one now, still want the old one back though....

Hi,
I went to the Rainworth address (Returns department) on saturday afternoon with no luck. I waited around for an hour or so and spoke to a neighbour and they wished me luck. I put a letter with my mobile number through the door asking if I could have my console back so I can at least get it fixed elsewhere. I am guessing they may have got rid of all the consoles as they are probably worried trading standards will come to that address as well. There was a skip at the house full of general rubbish.
Has anyone else been to the address?

If this was true why was I asked to send my console to the address? As far as I am concerned my console was last seen at that address. I would prefer the console back as soon as possible, even if it is still not in a full working condition. I can have the opportunity to get it repaired elsewhere. Thanks you reply I recieved the other day. Please note I haven't published the Rainworth address on here..

This is a total lie and fabrication
modchipfitters is exactly the same trading companies as modchip-store.co.uk , consolecave.com , terabyte computers or mod-gaming.
They and their fellow co-horts try to trade under many different names but all have similar address and personal.
Do not let them fob you off.
If in doubt report their non compliance with the relevant Trading Standards officers and Elspa personal as mentioned in this thread

Thanks for the console back modchip. Still not working but at least I can try and get it fixed else where. I don't know how you can say these are address are ot part of modchipfitters as I have proof I had to sent it to 2 Rugby Road. Very strange that other company names are linked with the same home address. It was a shame that I didn't see someone when I was at the address a few weeks ago.

I thought you had problems but it seems to me that you are doing nicely, and have treated me like a right mug. I honestly thought you where a bit of a martyr but I now fully realise thanks to PapaDoc 9 that you STOLEN over £350 from me and I will not let this happen. As you can see your addresses are published if they were not your addresses where would you be so keen to tell us they are not? I have a week off next week, and I don't mind spending another £150 on exacting revenge, I DO NOT APPRECIATE BEING RIPPED OFF. My order number is 11552, if you do not tell me where my console is, I might be spending some money on 'modding' your properties.....

I don't get why our console could not be returned fixed when the other website consoleworlddirect uses the same details (address and phone number) as modchipfitters. You are offering the same services and the web site is updated with june offers. So why the delay in the returns? I only got a letter 2 days after visiting the address which is convenient!

I had my console repaired locally for £60. It was a faulty chip (Argon) and that is why it wouldn't reckonise any discs. It couldn't have been tested before they sent it back from the initial installation. I don't think they even bothered looking at it at the returns department!
