Hi Guys,

First post and excuse me if in wrong place to post it?
Require advice/help or prompts to relevant posts.

I had a Wii chipped with a wiikey on board with cut legs (grinded chip to expose contacts)
Any way worked great with plenty of back up discs all working-
Found Wii not for me so sold it (im a xbox360 fan)
Sold to a mate who had no issue until recently all backup games will not load only origional discs? had chip tested and confirmed a good install and working could possibly be region blocked??

my question is how the hell can i sort this out as am getting no end of earache and am considering moving or suicide(lol)
Is a update available and easy to do/sort out?
Does the Wii need formatting?
I really dont know? so over to you lovely people, please help would really appreciate some info/advice and possibly a solution a virtual drink available at my bar F.O.C off to plat duty now will check back

Could be that the chip has died or lost power if it can read originals but now backups.

supposed could be but stated by person whom fitted the chip says was solid and tested with multi-tester but then again i aint got a clue? mentioned possibilty of region blocked?all games worked before only orig play now just found out its a wiikey.
Not aware of any updates or what regions previously played games were or are but they all worked until after one evening after playing trauma center?

i had a similar problem, the installer tested the chip with a multimeter and said everything looked fine but the chip wasnt working for some reason. was working the night before, turned it off, and the next day, nothing but originals. installed spare chip and worked fine, still no idea what happened with the first chip, as it wouldnt recognize any form of config disc to test it. talking to the retailer i bought from now to see about sending it back to em.
