I burned a copy of Assassin's Creed and test it on my 360, the DVD drive of my 360 would make a nonstop loud noise and the Xbox 360 logo just stay on the TV screen(if the DVD is inside the drive when the 360 is turned on), nothing will load and the loud noise would continue, and if I insert the DVD while the console is on(meaning I'm on the dashboard), the game looks as if it's booting but all I can is black screen and the loud DVD drive noise, then I do some research and I found out that I'll have to wait 5-10 mins then the game will load, and yes it did load

What's the problem??? If I play this game will it damage my 360's DVD drive?

Strange! After it loaded the game after 5 minutes of black screen, it never took 5 mins to load the game when I restart my 360, why is that? Is it like an update from the disc to the 360 during the black screen? If so, why isn't there any messages? I turned it off for the first time with black screen cause I thought it didn't work and froze, will it damage my 360 if there was an update in progress? I'm confused here! :confused:

Ok, it happened again, sometimes in loads without problem and sometimes I have to wait like 5 minutes at most and the DVD drive is making loud noise, this is really annoying.

Like you multi posting *wabashman point taken* If you downloaded the game its gona do that. Mine has the same 5 min black screen dont worry just something wrong with that download

Any fixes for it?
[22:42] <c4eva> to fix AC with benq, set the startup to disc rather than dash in sytem/console settings/startup
[22:44] <c4eva> just once, then once you have booted AC, you can set back
[22:45] <c4eva> fixed my one for good, booted AC for over 2 hours now, problem gone
I tried it but won't work, I'm already in startup to disc to begin with.

I have the same problem...I think it's just the download. I have to wait 5-10 minutes before it loads up too.

My assassins creed, still stays on the black screen, i tried leaving it on for more than 30 minutes, it still doesnt work. Even with the boot from disk at startup metthod, it doesnt work

no probs here, got of the groups, about 1 month ago. i have heard of this, but never experienced it personally. i would say its do to an update and burning it onto diff media. although i cant confirm this. i do believe i got an update for the game awhile back, but when you think about it, what game hasnt gotten an update. i dunno guys.
