Yes you insert a Hack.bin dvd. This will write the hacked firmware stright to your dvd drive without the need to open your 360.

dindi, that websites not working for me. could it be a .net or .org instead of a .com? just curious as i am soooo tired of always having to open up my case and void my warranty in order to flash the drive. i mean it would sooo nice to just insert a dvd into the drive and have it do everything for me, because i am so lazy to open the case, and do it the only way that i know how to.

Ok, Ok, i will give the guy a break before his head explodes. I am feeling in the generous type of mood today.
The answer is NO.
Open it and flash it. That is the prefered method.

Flashing is definitely the preferred method. Though if your up for a challenge, you can solder in a chip.

You can pick up a VIA SATA card (PCI) for around $15 shipped on Newegg.
Here is a list of retailers, thanks to the guys at 360mods.net
