Philips, one of the best known consumer electronics companies on the planet, witnessed its first quarter profit drop 75 percent due to bad performing sales of television sets, particularly in the United States. I am concern now that Philips is letting Funai Electric Co. Ltd do their work for them the next 5 years. They make a crappy product a disposable product if you want to get to the point. Philips DVD players are the top. They out perform Sony, Toshiba, Pioneer as My 6 Philips players play every type of media but the others have problems with certain media and file formats.
