What could be wrong with my Wireless Xbox 360 Controller?

Hello,

My Xbox 360 Battery Area does not seem to work.

Changing the batteries, anything the controller does NOT turn on.

However it turns on fine with the Play and Charge Kit, which proved to me that it is a problem inside the controller somehow.

I will be opening the controller tomorrow and I am wondering if there is anything I should be looking for?

Your battery pack is the problem. I dont know why but it is. Could be dead, bad connections, or just a bad pack?

I think the two connections + and - are to blame because the play and charge kit doesn't rely on this, whereas normal double A batteries do. The play and charge kit connects to gold connectors on the side of the console rather than the bottom.

If your console is pretty new, ring up the Xbox 360 support line and tell them you have this problem with your wireless controller. They should then send you a new one within a few days.
