The large British retailer Tesco has announced that it will be launching Tesco Downloads, a digital and video store.
The service will be similar to that of Amazon and Wal-Mart which offer a "web-based interface". you can purchase the physical cd @ tescos for £9 so where is the saving for customers exactly? the physical media has always been to blame for the high prices because of pressing, carriage, storage, ect.
what weed need to find out is whether tesco are actually selling the digital media or just a licence to use it, basically an empty bag that you are not allowed to lend, sell or even give away.
Even though it's overpriced, this will be big business in the UK. Everything Tesco does seems to turn out successful and there stores are very good. They will probably bundle a handful of free tracks with every MP3 player sold.

Well have you ever stopped to think what it would be like to live without the music industry tesco, wal-mart etc I think people would find other solutions and not only that but they would be free to do so because they would not be treatened by corporate laws that protect moneygrabbers who know nothing about art or entertainment, people would simply be entertain themselves
