I would suggest getting another linksys (wrt54g) router from ebay and installing dd-wrt on it. There is a great site www.dd-wrt.com that hosts their own open source firmware for the router mentioned above and countless other routers. You can configure these routers to operate in client bridged mode where it will act like a wireless adapter for anything with a NIC port, plus there is an option to boost the signal strength to almost 10x. Official wireless adapter 100$ or a wrt54g from ebay 30$?

Buy the $100 wifi adapter is falling for the "Apple Marketing" scheme that MS has adopted. The thing takes $5 to make and charge it for $100. It's no much different from a USB dongle that sells for $10. Get something else for sure brother!

Definitely don't get that. I bought it at first, expecting it to be high quality for 100 bucks. Turns out it was total crap. I ended up buying a buffalo wireless ethernet bridge for 50 bucks, that ran perfectly without any lag at all.

I have a linksys WRT54GS Router and a WGA54G wireless adapter which you can get for under $60 these days. They work just find with Xbox and Xbox 360 along with pretty much anything else that has an ethernet port.

I got the 360 wireless adapter for $60 used at GameStop, works great, much better than using the ethernet cable.
