Hi Guys,

Any advise or info why the game is black screening (Bomberman Land also)?
Game loads up in channel, but displays a black screen when you try to run it.

Game = PAL
Wii = JAP
Wii firmware = 3.1J
WiiKey firmware = 1.9s
Tried burning @ 2.4x
Software = ImgBurn
Media tried:
DVD-R DataWrite
DVD-R RiVision
DVD+R Arita

Any help/advise would be much appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

Try Verbatim DVD-R and burn @4x

Was going to ask you as I read from another post that you have it working on WiiKey.

I will try this brand thanks.

Is this brand more compatible for Wii generally speaking?

Yeah - I have other disks working and it's possible to burn on may brands but it's down to the burner as well and even then the Wii might still be picky.

Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden are the most consistently successful for Wii.(Verbatim DVD-R is actually TYG03 i.e Taiyo Yuden disks)

i bought some TYG03 disks of of rima.com and they work great. If you do, make sure you get the printable ones so that they have a good surface to label them.

no go with Verbatim -R.

I thought I had it with +R as it brought up invalid media (in Jap) upon starting game from channel (as opposed to just silently black screening). But I thought it was due to this RegionFrii patch that caused this to happen.

Have tried loading with region override ON/OFF (in WiiKey).

So sad ; ;

Just out of curiosity, do some games just dont work because they need to run the update on the game despite firmware is up to date?

My WiiKey is 1.9s and Wii is 3.2J
I have tried ImgBurn at x2/x4 with -R Verbatim.
Trying to get PES and Naruto to work.

Hi all,

I have a wiikey 1.9s and not sure what firmware I'm at. Well anyway whenever I put in Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 it shows in the game screen
, but when i click start for some reason the screen just goes black and nothing happens. I've tried burning at 4x and 6x with imgburn with no luck. Can someone please help?

You may not be able to run the title.

or it is a improper iso or a bogus iso there are several going around that contain viruses malware and spyware and several that are used a FBI stings to catch pirates so be carefull.
