I have a sammy drive that is fried, so i bought a hitachi drive, i have all the original stuff can anyone tell me or point me in the right direction to swap my sammy drive for this new hitachi one. a tut would be great or at least a link to one. THANK YOU ahead of time.

just flash the hitachi with the samsungs FW, and it will work.

I figured that much but how do i change the hitachi fw to sammy? there is tons of tuts on how to change drives from sammy to hitachi but none the other way!

put the drive in mode b and flash it as your normally would, but only with the sammys FW

First of all im not sure if you want to try to flash samsung firmware to a hitachi drive.
Here is my advice on doing it.
Get your key from the samsung firmware. Dump the hitachi firmware to your pc, make whichever firmware you will be using for the hitachi drive with the samsung drive key injected. Spoof firmware as samsung ms25 or ms28, whichever was originally in the console.
Flash that firmware onto the hitachi drive. That part is done.
If you ever want to flash it again the hitachi is now going to read as a samsung ms25 or ms28, so slax method of putting drive into mode b will not work. To put the drive in mode b turn on the xbox 360, eject the drive so tray is in the open status. Unplug the power connector out of the back of the xbox 360. Plug the power connector back in turn on the xbox 360, let the drive close and let it boot up. Your drive should now be in mode -b you can check by hitting the eject button. If it takes 2 ejects for the drive to open then it is in mode b.
