Eurovox -Cant get past language settings menu

Anyone have probs with euro-vox ? as i have to keep rebooting mine to enter codes at language settings menu as the box does nothing at all when i press the 4 number code -it takes about 10 attempts before the screen for inputting the codes comes up.
My brother has same box he has no probs a so we tried at his house with - but still same difficulties
