I have seen self fix kits and seen a video or two. Does this really work? Has anyone on here tried it? See to be nothing but a thermal paste replacement and they added some washers...

probably will come back just as fast if you used it once a week, or 6 days a week. some people have had it come back within an hour, others have had it last several months.

I did the heatgun trick on 2 systems. 2 weeks so far both are still up the one is used allmost nonstop by 5 kids allmost 8 hours streight one day lol. I still use the stock clamp but used artic silver thermal paste, and keep them very well ventulated. Who knows how long it will last I give it couple to six months then I will do it again if needed.

yes, if you do them correctly it will work. I have a friend who fixed 15 of them and said all 15 worked after the fix was done.
