ive searched the forum and im sort of confused with the chip and all ive modded my ps2 n xbox in the past and know doing the wii. so if i was to get a wiikey as i believe this seems to be the modchip to get. is the wii able to be updated via the usual nintendo updating? or do i come here and get the update i need?
does the wii have to be updated?
in terms of the bricking if i was to get games from bali and play them in my australian wii (pal) wud they brick it? (as bali games come from anywhere i believe)
is there a mod that allows for region free play?

soz for the noobish q's just need some solid answers.

I dont think you used the search button before posting. Because somebody posts basically the same exact set of questions about twice a week. They've all been answered many, many times before.

penguin98 is wrong - it's more than twice a week. Search is your friend and so is google. I'd check you can actually put a wiikey in your console first btw...

If you don't have D2B then start again. It's easy to chip and manage a Wii console but it requires a few hours "solid" reading and research to get "solid" answers.

Also your title is against the rules.
