WiiKey on D2C

Ok i got a Wiikey (for free :D). And it turns out i have a D2C chipset The legs are not cut. Is it possible to use then? I heard you just got to use a wire to solder to the 5th leg.

any chipset before D2C can use the wiikey. that means DMS/D2A/D2B can use the wiikey. D2C is imcompatable with wiikey.

Well I can tell you now that the Wiikey works with all boards before D2C lol.

I'm not disputing it m8 - just I could only go with what I read cos I didn't have anything else till you piped up. Why don't they add that to the site though? Not asking you btw... just speaking out loud as it were. I can speculate about the site myself.

Well today i found out that there is a Wii-clip for the wiikey that fits over the chip and it works for D2C, But o well still getting the D2CKey with a Wii-Clip for it XD. So now im stuck with a Wiikey. Anyone have any ideas on what to do with it?

wii-clip works with wiikey but try putting in a D2C and it will NOT work. Don't post misleading stuff because it only takes one guy to glance at your post and try it and they end up at the very least disappointed but certainly out of pocket. If you still insist on running down that road at least post sources where your claim can be validated. Sometimes there are new developments and that means that the facts can change overnight but the fact is - you are the only guy on the whole board saying wiikey works on D2C. Based on the discussion so far, I'd say you aren't exactly an expert m8 ;)

Naw bleep do daw im no expert if i was i wouldn't be posting this thread, i just woke up and realized what the site said and i meant to change my post but I fell asleep so IT WONT WORK ON D2C. And don't come into threads telling people im "misleading" them. I think im not the only that has screwed up before.

Ok - well you posted wrong info which flew in the face of all you'd been told. I was not to know you weren't deliberately posting crap you'd heard from some friend of yours who was spouting off about his expert knowledge of modchips and that goes on a lot around here. You can't expect me to know you were struggling to stay conscious lol. I wouldn't pull you up if I'd known you were accidentally posting stuff so I apologise if I wound you up. I realise you weren't deliberately misleading ppl but it was still misleading and needed to be corrected, I'm sure you'll agree ;)
