Ok so i followed his guide: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/610312
and i did EVERYTHING like three times on two different memory sticks 512 and 4GB but the problem is that when i put in the service battery the battery does its job but when i insert the memory stick nothing happens. I have downgraded several psp's but they were fats and whenever i inserted the memory stick the things always started up but i am not skilled with slims so i am scared of trying the way i did on fats please help and please tell me what i am doing wrong.
Thanks very much.

Alright, first off January39 is correct. You have to put the memory sitck in first or the battery will not do anything.

Secondly, Downgrading with a pandora battery on the PSP Slim is different. On the Phat a screen will pop up asking you to intall custom frimware ect ect and normally you would jsut press X to start the installation. However, on the PSP slim nothing is going to show up on the screen ever. So to sum it up this is what you're going to do.

1: Insert the memory stick.
2: Insert the battery
3: after a few seconds press X even though nothing is on the screen.
4: You will know that it is installing because the Wifi and memory stick LEDs will be flickering.
