Can you play Games off a USB Drive? Or do other things?

Hey guys,

Tried the traditional search under this forum with key words "flash drive" and "usb drive" with very few and unrelated results.

What I'm trying to ask is that if you have a usb drive big enough to hold a gamecube game (maybe even a wii game) could you load the game off of the drive?

Could you do other things like put save files on there, load emulator games, etc from that drive?

Any other neat things you can do off a usb drive? =)

SD Gecko is the closest thing to what you are after. No chance of full Wii games or GC but some snes and other emulators & homebrew stuff. That's as much as I know cos it doesn't really interest me but you can google up stuff about it. Nobody is running stuff off usb drives.

Nobody is running wii or GC off of usb drives yet. I expect that eventually we'll get an iso loader but thats still months or even years off so dont hold your breath.

Like junir said some homebrew supports usb drives but I think most of them are using the SD card slot right now. The wii USB ports are basically unused at this point in time.
