MS28 FLASHING PROBLEM

I have been trying to flash this drive for 2 weeks now and cant seem to do it.I used iprep and a usb to create a boot disk.I used Filezilla
samIxtreme 1.4 and firmtool V1.2.I have a VIA VT6421A sata card.
My steps are first while in iprep menu I connect sata cable from sata
card to xbox ms28 drive and select Y and hit enter.Next I enter
dSam xxxxxxx xxxxx and hit enter.Next the MTKFlash screen runs and
my drive is listed as 1:XTREME PRI MASTER next I turn off the xbox
and I choose :1 and count to 11 turn on the xbox and it says
FLASH TYPE: SST(SST399F020)
Reading......00 and gets stuck here? and it just stays here for days I dont think Firmtool is doing anything?? or mabe I have the wrong sata card?I do no one thing for sure is that I getting ready to throw this xbox out my living room window.can some please help with

try using the latest version of iprep and a floppy. it wouldnt let me use a usb flash to do it but i tried a floppy a it worked so try that
