I opened my Wii the other day.....

And now the darn thing won't work. I ordered a tri wing screwdriver from ebay so I could open the case and find out what chip I had in there. My friend did the install and he told me that I had a Cyclowiz, but I wanted to check it out myself. I also need an on/off switch installed so I can do the SSBB update. So I cracked the case about 2 weeks ago and I couldn't really tell what type of chip it was. I looked around on here and the internet and came to the conclusion that it was indeed a Cyclowiz. I put it back together because my friend couldn't come over to do the install and I sure as heck wasn't about to try. So me and my son tried to play it just now and not a single game comes up. You can go to the game channel and watch the big Wii disk and the little GC disk spin away, but eventually it will tell you that I should insert a Wii game if I want to play. I dunno what to do now. I'm sure that I put everything back together the way it came apart (I have been a mechanic for the last 5 years. I'm a bit of an expert when it comes to taking stuff apart and remembering where every single bolt or screw go and how it came apart.) I dunno if I hit something on the chip and pissed it off or if I broke a solder. I don't think I did, but who the heck knows. I'm not looking for any answers really, just some place to vent where the people would know what I was talking about. I know my name has noob under it, but I have been off and on this website for the last 2 years, so I know a little bit about what I'm talking about. Anyway, thanks for listening to me rant.

sounds like a wire came undone.. have your friend check the solder points again....
