I have searched the forums and google and can't find anyone with a similar problem. Hope you can help.
When I rip wii games using rawdump 2.0 and burn them with nero onto verbatim dvd-r, the work pretty much 100% of the time.
However, now I am trying to do my gamecube games and have hit a bit of a snag.
As far as I know the process should be exactly the same.
When I put a GC disc in it says "wii disc detected", brings up the name of the disc and starts to dump as normal.
It states the time left is the same as if it were a wii disc (about 5 hours for my drive).
When the amount of data dumped reaches the amount of data on the gamecube disc, raw dump errors out and stops dumping.
I am still left with an ISO of the correct size but when I burn it my normal media, the wii recognises it as a gamecube disc but when I click to load the game, it just hangs on the first black screen.
I was just wondering if you had come across this problem before or if you had any ideas.
I am going to try downloading one of my gamecube games to see if it is the burning at fault rather than the dumping (I do expect it to be the dumping at fault though).
When the gamecube disc is finished dumping, shouldn't it come up "finished" like it does with wii games?
Apparently, the argon firmware before version 1.8 is fussy about gamecube backups. So, I just updated the firmware on the mod chip and... Voila! All the coasters I burnt to try and get it working, all work perfectly lol.
