cod4 colored clan tag question plz help

i watched many videos about how to get my clan tags colored but they all say to press "up" and the number. what letter on the keyboard do they mean when they say "up". ive tried pressing up on the arrow keys, pressing shift then the number six for this key ^. please help me this is something i want to do badly. and o yea i already know how to open the filke and get to the clan tag on the computer i just need to know the key for it . thanks

^ Actually I think they've already found another way to do it.

But please don't, its very annoying to other players not to mention you can have your PSN banned for it.

I agree, it's really annoying to have guys like that on your team. That being said, IW patched the method of typing it in with your keyboard so you just have to edit the hex in your game data file. If your really are interested in it, check out some tutorials online or some youtube videos. It's quite simple.

I dont know i havent seen anyone with it in their name since the update.

That's the tutorial I used about two months ago when our clan had colored names. I'd really just do it for one or two games and then take it off. It's like immature clan tags or LMGs for my list of pet peeves.

Because it makes it hard to tell if they're friend or foe, like if you have a person with a red name on your team or if theres a person on the other team with green. Any of the other colors are just as bad on either teams because you cant even assume they're on one team or the other.
